Earlier smart glasses drew criticism from privacy advocates because discreet cameras could record people without clear consent. By offering a version without a camera, Meta appears to be addressing that backlash while still keeping users connected to AI assistants, audio, and notifications. Meta is positioning smart glasses as more than accessories.
