GPT-6 and Intelligent UI Roll Out Globally
OpenAI has begun a worldwide rollout of GPT-6 inside ChatGPT, pairing the model with a new feature called Intelligent UI. Instead of returning only paragraphs of text, the system can generate visual and interactive elements that users can explore directly. OpenAI says the result is faster responses and a more hands-on way to work with information. The launch is notable because access is being expanded to all users, not limited to paid subscribers or developers building on the API. That makes the newest frontier model a mainstream product rather than a premium research tool.
The Intelligent UI points to a broader shift in how AI assistants may operate. ChatGPT is moving away from a simple chat box and toward a dynamic, app-like workspace where answers can include charts, forms, controls, and other components generated on the fly. For consumers, that could make complex tasks feel less like prompting and more like navigating a smart interface. For businesses, it may open the door to lightweight internal tools, interactive reports, and customer-facing experiences that are assembled instantly by the model.
At the same time, the change raises practical questions. Interactive outputs must be accurate, safe, and easy to understand, especially when they are generated automatically. Companies will also need to consider how such interfaces fit into existing workflows, data policies, and compliance rules. If the rollout succeeds, however, it could mark a key moment: AI assistants becoming less like chatbots and more like adaptable software environments that blend conversation, computation, and visual interaction.
