Unitree Robotics, the Chinese company famous for its affordable and agile dancing robots, has unveiled its most ambitious product yet: the GD01, a giant mecha robot that is now available for purchase. Standing at an imposing height and built with industrial-grade materials, the GD01 is capable of what the company calls “wall-smashing feats”—literally breaking through barriers and performing heavy-duty physical tasks that were previously limited to science fiction. The robot is designed to be a commercially available package, meaning enthusiasts, researchers, and even industrial buyers can acquire it without a custom order.
