AI-Designed Proteins May Help Detect Cancer Early

Researchers at MIT and Microsoft have used artificial intelligence to design molecular sensors that could detect early signs of cancer through a urine test. The AI model created short proteins targeted by proteases, enzymes that are overactive in cancer cells.
